Because every word is a sort of mini story and you have to string them together to make a big story. It’s as if the story is already there it’s just a code you need to unlock. You have find the story. If you string the words together just right it’ll appear.

Ditto for composing. The song already exists. All the pieces/parts, the rhythms, modes, harmonies… you just have to wade through the muck to find the song that wants to be found that day. :)
